John Sawoski Musical Directs The Leading Ladies in A Treasury of Words and Music at Library of Congress
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
May 2001 – On May 26, John Sawoski musical directed a concert with Lisa Vroman and two other sopranos,all of whom have played the role of Christine in The Phantom of the Opera. Presented in conjunction with the Kemper Open, The Leading Ladies performed in the Great Hall of the Jefferson Building in the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C.
The concert also featured local D.C. musicians Mark Carson, drums; Jon Nazdin, bass; and Ron Chiles, synthesizer.
